I think the way you've put this character together is so darn cool, I've personally never seen anything quite like it. I mean, there are a lot of characters with skulls for heads etc, but they way you've made yours is indeed unique to you. The subtle differences and still unnatural feeling to this creature is a prefect fit; it's dark, even for me. To be honest, I really never would've thought of a 'deer' creature being this compelling to look at. So I give you congrats on that!
And the fact it's a reference sheet is all the better. I love it when folks make the character into a reference. Better for me to understand!
So what I would suggest for you to re-look at, is the fact of the legs and feet. I think you made them too thin and small. Is this just a style you have or was it something you overlooked on accident? I dunno, but it looks really weird and unrealistic to me. If you need reference on deer legs then go here:

I think you should also add more information and graphics in regards to it's hight, some pictures just to show some of their attributes, and so on.

The deer is somewhat based on the desings from a game 'The Endless Forest', so I've to credit them.
Yes, deer legs. I've never ever tried to make them look natural, so I think this is just the style I draw them. Pretty much every of my deer lack hooves and have only those stick-like legs instead. You're right, I really should start practicing that part. And thanks for the links, I'll try to check them next time.
And yeah, the ref looks rather boring. I'll try to hide behind the fact it's the first ref I've ever drawn, and I was actually just testing stuff for my future characters.
